Local Youth Club Grant Scheme 2017

A once off equipment grant has been made available in 2017, to volunteer led and run youth clubs and groups. The grant is intended to support the work of volunteers, enhance the experience of members, and provide vital equipment. Local clubs/groups are invited to apply for one-off funding up to a maximum €5,000.

Applicants must fulfil the criteria of the scheme; the main criteria are:

• The club/group must be volunteer led and run
• 75% of the club/group members be between ages of 10 and 21
• The club/group must have completed the DCYA Quality Standards process
• The club/group must be compliant with child protection and Garda vetting requirements
• Sports Clubs are NOT eligible for funding under this scheme.

Completed application forms must be returned no later than 12pm (noon) on Friday, 20 October 2017 to the Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board, Ardcavan Business Park, Ardcavan, Wexford for the attention of Ann Burke and envelopes should be marked LYCEG. Late applications will not be accepted.

Funding for this Scheme is being provided by the Youth Affairs Unit, Department of Children and Youth Affairs.
