WWETB is patron of 12 Community Colleges and 1 Community National School (CNS).   The authority is also co-patron of 3 Community Schools in its administrative region.

WWETB schools are state-run, co-educational, multidenominational schools underpinned by the core values of:  Excellence in Education – Care – Equality – Community  –  Respect

The school/colleges are led by WWETB Director of Schools, Ms. Eimear Ryan supported by Ms. Sinéad O’Hara (Education Coordinator), Ms. Fiona Dee and Ms. Anne-Marie Toomey (Digital Learning Team) and Ms. Lisa Penwell (Admin Support Education Office).

In WWETB schools, all students are given equal opportunities for enrolment in line with the Education (Admissions to School) Act 2018.  Once enrolled, our schools strive to provide all students with equal opportunities to engage with the curriculum and school life. In all aspects of school life all members of our school communities are treated equitably regardless of their race, gender, religion/belief, age, family status, civil status, membership of the Traveller community, sexual orientation, ability or socio-economic status.

Our schools provide a safe physical and social environment that reinforces a sense of belonging to the school community and wider society. They strive to enable every student to realise their full potential regardless of any aspect of their identity or background. Our schools promote a fully inclusive education that recognises the plurality of identities, beliefs and values held by students, parents and staff. We prepare open-minded, culturally sensitive and responsible citizens with a strong sense of shared values.

In WWETB schools, students of all religions and beliefs are treated equally.  The school environment and activities do not privilege any particular group over another whilst at the same time acknowledging and facilitating students of all religions and beliefs.

Primary Schools

Community National Schools (CNS) are child-centred, multidenominational, publicly-accountable schools which strive to provide high quality education for every child. Our school has a long record of high achievement and results. Our pupils enjoy an almost one-to-one educational experience from our two wonderful teachers. We have invested in technology to deliver world-class tuition.

Post-Primary Schools

WWETB provides full-time educational services in various post-primary schools around Waterford and Wexford. Second level education aims to provide quality learning environments which prepares individual students for higher/further education or immediate entry into the workplace, and equips them with the some of the skills necessary to become active citizens within society.
