The sod was officially turned today on the 1st phase of the extension to Bunclody Vocational College. The building works will include the construction of three permanent classrooms, a new Woodwork/Construction Studies room, extension to our engineering/technology classroom and the refurbishment of our woodwork room to enable it to be used as an Art room. Additional toilet facilities are also to be added.
“We’re delighted that this 1st phase of building work has commenced” said school Principal Jay Murphy. “For us, this is the beginning of our 2020 vision project and we’re delighted to work with the Department of Education and Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board to bring this first phase to fruition and move on to the next phases. We are already experiencing increased demand for places here and have also increased our enrolments in recent years. These improvements to our school will pave the way for further growth in both our second level and PLC areas.”
