WWETB’s Official Language Scheme was approved by The Minister of State at the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Mr. Joe McHugh T.D.
The scheme shall remain in force for a period of 3 years from 15th May 2017 or until a new scheme has been approved, whichever is the later.
The aim of the Official Languages Act is to promote the use of Irish in public affairs and to ensure the use of Irish by public bodies when communicating with the public and/or providing services to the public.
WWETB is now requesting submissions to enable the Draft of a new Language Scheme 2020 – 2023. Closing date for receipt of submissions is 5.00 p.m. Wednesday 8th July 2020.
